Foodnet Meals on Wheels Wheel-A-Thon
Sponsorship Opportunities
The purpose of the Wheel-a-Thon is to raise awareness of the Foodnet Meals on Wheels program, recruit new volunteers and raise funds by collecting pledges. In the Poker Run, drivers follow a scenic, 40-mile route, picking up a playing card at each checkpoint to see who can get the best poker hand. Meanwhile, kids of all ages wheel along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail led by the Cornell Women's Ice Hockey Team. Everyone gathers back at the Cass Park Picnic Pavilion for a Chicken BBQ featuring Cornell Chicken and a live concert by Radio London. Prizes will be awarded for the best poker hand by a rider and a walker. It all happens at Cass Park on Saturday, September 6, 2008.
Sustaining Sponsors For a contribution of $1000, your business will be recognized with your logo placed prominently on event posters, brochures, t-shirts, website, the sponsor board and a listing of sponsors published in the newspaper. Your sponsorship includes the registration fee for three participants.Poker Run Checkpoint Sponsors For a contribution of $500, your business can sponsor a Poker Run Checkpoint. Your business logo will be featured on a checkpoint banner or sign. You will have the opportunity to distribute promotional materials at your checkpoint. Send your own representative or have our volunteers staff the checkpoint for you. Your logo will also be featured on event posters, brochures, t-shirts, website, the sponsor board and a listing of sponsors published in the newspaper. Your sponsorship includes the registration fee for two participants. There will be five Checkpoint Sponsors, one at each checkpoint.General Sponsors For a contribution of $250, we will include your name on t-shirts, the sponsor board and in a listing of sponsors in the newspaper.Door Prizes Promote your business by donating a door prize or promotional items to be given to Wheel-A-Thon participants.Posters Help tell people about Foodnet Meals on Wheels and the Wheel-A-Thon by displaying a poster and brochures at your place of business.Make checks payable to Foodnet Meals on Wheels, 2422 N.
