Foodnet Meal Site at the Salvation Army to CloseDecember 2, 2003 is last day of serviceNovember 26, 2003 -- Tuesday,
December 2 will be the last day of Foodnet service at the Salvation Army Golden
Age Club. Leslie Muhlhahn of "Just Desserts" is donating a fabulous
chocolate mousse cake to mark the occasion and help us to celebrate the long and
successful association enjoyed by the two organizations. Budget cuts have forced
us to make some tough decisions and we have determined that in-home
services to the most frail and vulnerable elders of our community would be the
top priority. Sadly, services have to be eliminated someplace. The Salvation
Army Golden Age Program and other Foodnet programs will continue.
