A Special Holiday Dinner
A holiday dinner
featuring Roast Beef with Bordelaise Sauce will be offered on Friday,
December 21. The Cornell Catering Chefs will be back to help celebrate
the holidays and you don’t want to miss it! If you attend a community
meal site, be sure to get your reservation in early. The same great menu
will be provided to those who have meals on wheels delivered that day. |

Fair
Saturday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In Dodds Hall at First
Presbyterian Church
315 N. Cayuga St.,
Ithaca
Foodnet Meals on Wheels
will be at the Fair, which offers holiday shoppers a way to honor
friends and family while supporting charities and non-profit
organizations in a festive atmosphere. Gift prices start at $5 and are
tax deductible. For each donation, the giver receives a holiday card
with a description of the organization and the gift. |

very harsh and the schools are closing, listen to WHCU 870am or call
266-9553 to find out if Foodnet Meals on Wheels is closed for the day.
Blizzard Bag emergency food packages are provided to full-time Foodnet
home delivered meal consumers for just such an occasion. Call 266-9553
if you need a Blizzard Bag. The Blizzard Bags are mad possible by a
grant from the Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund, gifts from the Ithaca
Alternative Gift Fair, and volunteer help from Ithaca College students
who are studying nutrition. |

Did you know…
Foodnet Meals on Wheels
serves 525 people everyday in Tompkins County with the choice of one or
two meals daily. Congregate meals have increased 5% and meals on wheels
have increased 8% compared to last year. This year we will serve more
than 218,000 meals!
